Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

I have a green canvas bag that I’ve been thinking of trying this with. Thanks for the inspiration. Oh & I like doing DC DC2TOG DC for the shells going across the joins. Similar to what you did but it gives 3 stitches across the top. 🧶💜

Does a shawl have to have fringe or simple is best?

Happy to watch young people carrying on the tradition. I learned when I was 9. I’m 85 and still able to make granny square baby blankets for my grand and great grand children. Thanks for the joining video. We always learn something new. I also turn my work, I find the texture makes the squares reversible in the finished project. Kudos to you making crocheting fun and relaxing to watch.

I have been ripping my hair out for 30 minutes

I have child size, Hands, and I love the size of the EO hooks. All three colors are an excellent choice. I also love my clover hook. The thing I love the most about the clover hooks is that they are color-coded, and I have serious vision issues, which make it hard to read sizes on the hooks. I think you can expect the pink hooks to get dirtier overtime, because of the lighter color. All you need to do is just wipe them off, and they will be just fine. I happen to love the rollup case the black and gold hook came in. It’s perfect to throw in my bag and carry wherever I go. I added the 10.5 mm hook. By the way, I loved the squares you were joining. They are so pretty. Thanks for doing this video, I hope you will continue to enjoy all your at the hooks. I have a couple of the red ones and they are nice too. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Can this only be done with 2 yarns? Meaning, you have to have two skeins of whatever. Can’t be done with just one skein?

Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations

Why would you spend so much time on that when you can just crochet over the ends? I made entire full size blanket out of just four-round granny squares and I crocheted over all the tails and then the last tails got crocheted over by the join stitches so that I only ended up with one tail per row and it we column,…. I barely had to weave in anything and if I had put a border on it I wouldn’t have even had to do those!!

14:42 instead of two double crochet is on either side of the seam, personally I would have done one double crochet on each side and then the other double crochets would’ve been a decrease stitch/2 double crochet one together so I would go in on one side of the same yarn and pull through and then I would go in on the other side the same and third pull through and then finish the stitch is one stitch. I hope that makes sense

So much easier than sewing a liner. Plus you can switch the “cover” as desired.

I was wondering how do you do the changing color, not the starting step, but the last step after finishing the round and joining the first stitch with the last one. Or maybe they are just crocheted in spiral.

This was very simple and fun! I cant stop making them now! I actually used the longer tail to bind an origami leaf onto it instead of weaving it in like the smaller one

I'm so excited to make this hat! Several years ago I bought this yarn to make market bags. I have 2.5 skeins left of the yarn (2 different colors) with no project for them - until now!

Sometimes hooks come with some kind of film or residue from the manufacturing process and needs to be cleaned off and then can glide easily. And don't forget to clean your hooks from time to time 😊. And not all hooks are compatible with all yarn.

I don’t mind having a knot in my project, but I’m afraid it will come loose. Is this really truly secure?

7:41 I am always lap crocheting, never with a flat surface so I join a row, then another row, then join those together.. it wouldn't be possible for me to join the way you did in this video based on the places where I crochet... But I think your joins look so neat.

Appreciate the how to. There's actually a lot going on with your KFB (it's not "just" that simple, if you're learning). You are doing things to the needle that you don't mention out loud, I had to slow down and rewatch several times. Thanks for sharing your how to.
